The entire programme consists of 8 sessions and materials.
You may choose to allocate NDIS funding for payment of program.
You do not need a referral from the GP to attend the program.

.

The group is facilitated by two psychologists and one/two support staff.
A group session consists of a 60 minute group with a small group of 4 to 6 children. The group consists of some structured activities – teamwork games, obstacle course, drawing, art, play, games and interactive activities. Communication and self-regulation is promoted.
Parents do not attend the group sessions, but receive regular verbal feedback about what was covered and things that you and your child can work on at home. The program may provide a written summary or formal feedback at the conclusion of program detailing your child’s/young person’s strengths/weaknesses and recommendations for home/school (at psychologist’s hourly rate).

.

For new clients, a pre-program consultation is required with our psychologist. During the pre-program appointment, we will meet with you and your child to get a sense of the areas that your child needs support as well as their strengths. Based on your child’s individual needs, we set specific goals that will be targeted in the group. We also get to know your child so that they feel comfortable coming into group.
